Thinking back I know where the screw was from but not how it got in the case. I believe it was from the original backplate that held the stock cpu cooler, but I took that out months ago when I put my antec kuhler in. Now, maybe my son, who is about to turn 2, somehow got ahold of a screw (which I think he did) and stuck it through the holes of the exhaust fan (I have an antec 902 case) and it was just teetering on something for awhile until it finally decided to fall on my card tonight. Yeah, I'll buy that.

That sucks. Been there had that happen. My son fried a psu much in the same manor. At least they did not choke on the screw.... biggrin.gif

And that really is the most important thing. I also had a 46 inch SONY Bravia suddenly die on Friday, is he the culprit? I'll find that out when the repair man comes. He won't choke on screws or the like, he loves putting them in my case, I have cleaned out chip and cracker crumbs before. I think it may be time to move the pc on top of the desk. I really enjoyed being able to have it on the floor, but not at the expense of my system. How did your son get a screw inside a psu? Aren't the vent holes pretty small?

Very carefully. I think I was doing some work and walked away for a minute with the lid open. Came back and one of the mobo screws was missing. He was sitting there laughing. About 2 weeks later the person I did the build for called me telling me the power will not turn on. Trouble shot for a while and the psu kept turn off when I would rock the pc. Took it out and turned it over, out came the missing mobo screw.....

Here was my son inside my case one time, didn't do any damage though.

I actually already had it open and tilted to check something out, he just happened to wander over. He did not like sticking his fingers in the fans though. They're just the cheap plastic stock, nothing that can do damage. But it's crazy how much he tries to imitate me, when working on my pc he will grab the screwdriver and start trying to tinker with the insides.
