What program are you using to measure CPU temp because your CPU you should shut down at 71C as that's the thermal limit for Athlon 2

Dont be so sure it will overclock above 3.4-3.5ghz... http://www.overclock.net/t/900408/amd-athalon-ii-x4-640-3-4-as-good-as-it-gets/70

I am using my Athlon as a reference. I got to 3.3 without voltage and stock cooling. I needed 1.55v for 3.8GHz but that obviously needed a Hyper 212 to keep cool.

This is a screen shot before I cleaned it up.
Also it shows the air flow which i'm going to be using.

I've never done wire management but its not that bad haha.
Case: Antec 300

The top and back fan are sucking in cold air and blowing it on the CPU
I also have a side fan that will be sucking in air and blowing my GPU.

These two HD fans will be my exhaust fans.

Pro/cons to doing this as my fan control?

*On a side note my computer is still open i'm over clocked at 3.6 stable so far and have yet to run a stress test until after I post this. After it starts i'll end up tuning it from there and will post results
