GTX 670 SLI 2x slow in 3DMARK11 - 3463

Thread Starter
I just got my second GTX 670 FTW today, so excitedly I installed it.

I removed old drivers, overclock and proceeded to reinstall the the 314.22 WHQL driver and then applied the latest SLI enhancement off EVGA's website. Enabled SLI in the nvidia control panel and started benchmarking, heaven seems to work fine at pretty much double the FPS, however 3Dmark11 runs at 15~~ fps throughout.

This is my first time ever trying SLI, I believe I have done everything I know of. What am I missing? Have I made a mistake somewhere?

Also, there is a tiny bit of stuttering that I notice.. Any remedies? =/

Max performance on the nvidia control panel is checked.

The amd 8350 is OC'd at 4.7ghz

What power supply do you have?

Also while running 3dmark monitor your video card through Precision X or Afterburner. Pay attention to your tdp and your temps, my 670 spikes to much higher tdp percentages while running 3dmark 11 over heaven/valley and your card(s) may be throttling because of it.

I am not near my PC at the moment from the top of my head it's a cooler master at 1000w with the total amperage 12v being at 80. Also I have been monitoring temps, lower card runs at 60-63 while the above card runs 69-72 Celsius

Something is very very wrong. At 4.7 you should pull decent scores

70c is the first throttle point, but itll only drop the clock 13mhz as far as I know. My only guess would be is that something funny might be going on with the tdp, when you get the chance/you're near your pc again run 3dmark again and see how high the tdp is spiking. If its not going over the tdp limit, and i doubt your psu is the issue, im at a loss redface.gif
