I just got a mobo back from Asus.. at first they said they would have to charge me for the broken PCIE clip THEN rma the motherboard, which is stupid but not a huge deal. However, I was delighted when they didn't charge me for it and less than 4 into RMA (after they received it i mean) I was told I'm getting a new motherboard! I'm happy overall.

To be honest though, I have heard horror stories so I took pictures and made UPS wrap it up. I literally would have taken them to court if they said it was damaged upon arrival. smile.gif

Since you say "in general"...to be honest I can't answer your question, though. But personally on my country, MSI, Corsair, Gigabyte, have a really superior customer support. Only took 30 - 60 minutes for get a new replacement.

Evga,Gigabyte,MSI are my votes

I cant stand Asus Customer service. I had to rma my original 5870 card that was amazing(backplate, voltage control, full body heatsink), lets just say. What I got in return was an INFERIOR card(no backplate, half body heatsink, horrible overclocker) and was extremely let down. They used "Its the same model card" excuse, fair enough I said and never will I buy from Asus again.

Evga on the other hand, for my gtx280 i sent back they sent me a gtx285....a SUPERIOR card. Frustrating, this is perhaps why I dislike Asus CS, I was impressed by Evga's so much.
