HP-Mini's battery not charging

Thread Starter
Howdy OCN folks.
A week ago my laptop fell on the floor , with no damage whatsoever , however I'm not sure if it was because of the fall or not , 1 week later (I haven't tried it since the fall) I open it up , won't boot , so I plug it to charge , it boots everything OK. I leave it overnight to charge the battery , I wake up and see that the battery is still at 0%.
If I plug out the charger , the laptop won't turn on.
What's going on here? Did the fall cause some kind of damage? I've always charged my battery full , then discharged to zero to maintain battery life.
Please advise

I suggest you try charging your battery on an external battery charger(or another laptop)_ If your battery takes a charge on an external charger and not on your laptop then your laptop is somehow damaged and can't charge the battery anymore.

But if you charge your battery on an external charger (or another laptop) and the battery does not charge no matter what then its a faulty battery and needs to be replaced**

These are probably the best steps to take to find your problem.

But how can I charge it on another laptop if the battery only fits to that laptop? Which charger can charge it?

I know they do make external battery chargers for certain laptop batteries_ You might want to try looking for one, I would start with GOOGLE, if not your best bet is to find someone with the same laptop and try it there or go to best buy if they have your model on display and pop your battery in to test =P

But Upon a quick search I found this_

http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=hp+external+battery+charger&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=21756949644&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=653634261003278810&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&ref=pd_sl_4hi3xqbv9z_b

hope the link works

Phew.. I'd be better off with a new battery instead of testing it all . It's pricy I must say...

Yup, so go order a new battery and test it out_ if new battery shows same problem then its the laptop_ If the new battery won't charge either than its the laptop and just send the battery back for a refund.
