Best AMD drivers for overclocking?

Who has some good expr with some older AMD drivers 13.1 rev, or the 13.2 beta 7 or older, im not having so much luck with the 13.3 beta drivers.

here is my card, HIS iceq x2 GHz edition 2 of them in CF mode.
i might be thinking of putting these on water in the future get higher clocks im currently stuck at 1200 clock at 1600 memory,

1 more issue at times ill start crysis 3 ill be getting 120 fps and other times i only get 50 stuck at 50 FPS what the freak? anyone know what this is? but both cards are active and in working order.

I'm running the 13.3 beta 2 driver and I'm getting higher performance than I did with any other. I am however running an HD 6970 Lightning, and only a single card. I think your problem may be the fact that you're running CrossfireX. Games can be picky and disagree with your setup. (someone running the exact same system as you could have zero issues) I ran two HD 6850's and had major problems.. a friend of mine had a similar setup and never experienced an issue. I think CrossfireX is just problematic regardless. I wish you luck on your quest to dissect this problem!

thank you, i think ill try the 13.2 beta 7 drivers... its werd it would work all day good then i woke up this morning its its just making me cry getting 50 fps instead of 120 to 140 last night, should i be using the crysis 3 profile, as far as i know its all build it i dont have to mess with the 3d settings right guys?

I would do everything I could to try and fix it. Definitely try running the Crysis 3 profile. I vaguely remember that you can set the CrossfireX to AFR-Friendly mode. Have you tried doing this?

should i disable ULPS mode in Afterburner
post #7 of 22
Try it with the cards at stock clocks just to rule out overclocking. Exhaust every possible option (without destroying anything) ... disabling ULPS is worth a try. I'm a little busy at the moment, but that's really all I can tell you without googling!

thanks man, ya i tried alot of things stock clocks, tried using a diff Crossfire bridge, tried switching the cards around, tried re installing drivers same and others, u guys think i should RMA looks to me like the card problem it self, sometimes it starts to play with 140 fps next 10 times with 50, up and down not sure what to do anymore maybe RMA, but i dont want to do that will take to long

i think this might have to do somethign with the 3d settings, it works with 100 fps offline with more crap going on but not on multi so werd

Are you using fraps and other monitoring devices?

For some reason they screw up the C3 fps. When I turn on fraps in the middle of the game my frames drop and get stuck. Dxtory makes it choppy as hell
