Best 24" RTS & FPS monitor under $300?

This will be used for SC2, BF3, CRYSIS 3 and any other RTS & FPS I can think of. I HATE back light bleed through, so what's the best & prettiest 2D monitor for the money right now???? Thanks.

I cannot recommend a single TN monitor, even though you play FPS games - but this is an absolutely gorgeous monitor.

ASUS VG248QE Black 24" 144Hz 1ms

Best Monitor under 300 bucks, i have it runs amazing in every game. Set it to 144hz looks just amazing. Just need to download correct ICC profile. You will be blown away with every game once you set the refresh rate to 144hz.

The VG248QE is the best gaming monitor right now. With that said, in your price range, the only other real option is the Dell UH2412M. It's a good IPS panel, but it's only 60hz and usually suffers from pretty bad backlight bleed.

SC2 looks great on my IPS monitor, but for a FPS game you might be better off with a lower latency TN, espically a 144Hz monitor.

Dell UltraSharp U2412M is what I went with. If there is a hint of Backlight its going back to the EGG! Thanks for everyone's help and hope the Dell makes me happy!

You'll likely have quite amount of backlight bleed, sadly. That's what most surprised me about this monitor, I can't see almost any...
