But it is PC gaming! More apps like that, means more Devs, more Devs means more games.ect.......

The market will only trend upward, I will have to say the next 10yrs will be exciting. Hell it was 10yrs ago and i was rockin a FX5700 AGP!

Hell for ever person on here with a 680 or 7970 there most be at least 1000 that have just irrigated graphics like I have on my pc right now I just do not like the hole elitist vibe that a lot of pc gamers put out its just as bad as the ps3 vs xbox people its all up to the user needs.
But to revert back I don't think your stupid and if it came out that way I am truly sorry it was not my intention at all.

Well at least you admitted we aren't worse than they are. Most of us build our own machines.. spend tons more on setups to get exactly what we want... there is a lot more pride behind what we do than just going to walmart and picking up something. I think that is where the "elitism" sentiment comes from.

I will admit I have seen a few guys that took their xbox apart and modded the crap out of them which was pretty neat. But its a lot rarer in that community than it is in ours.

Interesting perspective. I guess it's hard to be an enthusiast without being an elitist. People hate to put thousands of dollars and thousands of hours into something just to be lumped in with the casual fans. It's almost like desiring some sort of separation is just human nature.

Please no. We've been through the piracy argument a million times and there hasn't been a single shred of proof that says every pirate equals a lost sale. Some people only want something because they can get it for free. See Pandora as an example.

You're going to start another flame war about something that can't be proven.

I don't like the fact that compaines make a lot of games only for consoles, but I'm realistic enough to know it's the best decision for them. It's much easier to develop a game for 2 concrete systems than it is to code around all the variables in a gaming PC. *shrugs* It is what is I guess.
I think that might change this console gen over the last seeing as there going to go all x86 this time round the cost of port should at least go down making it more profitable to make something for use pc gamers.

Yea modding on the xbox just was not worth the effort not with the first batch with the red ring of death but I take pride in my console set up and the friends I have made on it I think when any one finds something they like the defend it to the last breath its an ego thing you know those Ford vs Dodge vs Chevy or Apple vs Microsoft vs Linux.

Yea sound about right, the worst thing is we do it to a fault from little thing like computer hardware and software to big thing like human live we have a hard time put other people shoes on and seeing thing in a new light.

Are you short and from Corsica biggrin.gif

I think the biggest problem with gamers are they think the games are made just for them and if they don't do it there way they have broken a cardinal sin the publisher is out for the all mighty dollar and if you like the game that's a plus your probable going to get the DLC but I know I fall in to that group most of the time as well sucker for pretty trailer draws me in like a fire to the moth tongue.gif

I seriously doubt that. Did you see how many monitors I paid for the 47 inch Vizio that isn't even listed was twice the price of a fresh released console alone. Please list parts, pictures, and prices of your setup, because I seriously doubt you spent 4000 dollars on yours.

Well how do you define PC gaming? You can grab a 10 year old low-mid range PC and still play a load of great games like FarCry, HalfLife 2, Warcraft 3, F.E.A.R ect. Its not exactly current gen but most certetnly PC gaming and not in the Farmville/facebook kind of way.

Personally the minimum definition for me for a gaming-capable PC is something that will match or out preform a console meaning something like a C2D, 2Gb ram and a 8800 GTX. While that is old gear even market PC's tend to have faster hardware thees days. There is probably much more "gaming-capable" PCs out there then people that game on them.
