I installed the x86 nvidia drivers using the synaptic package manager though I dont see any sign of them being installed. any help getting cedega installed would be great.
For the Nvidia driver:
The X server should restart, and the nvidia logo should show and then take you to the login prompt. If not then do this:
login and open up a terminal. Applications->accessories->terminal.
Should be there. Then type: sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Then look for the section that list the card/graphics section and the driver is probably "nv" , change it to "nvidia"
Then find the section that says screen/monitor
look for part that looks like this
Viewport 0 0
"1280x1024" "1280x800" "1200x800" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
then add the part that I put in bold. Than you should be able to change the resolution to 1920x1200. Save the file and press ctrl+alt+backspace again and if the nvidia drivers were installed the the nvidia logo should show.
