I will say that I had to disable and re-enable the AMD High Definition Audio Device Driver before it would work though.

VIA VT2021 codec is what your MB uses .....mine uses realtek ....im begging to believe it might be a conflict with the sound card

Aside from my Dvi to HDMi issue which i believe is the motherboard realtek audio, im having a serious issue

today my computer while on windows , while im doings thing suddenly goes to sleep? idk the computer and the keyboard and everything seems to still be powered on but the video card sounds like it shuts off and the display on my monitor goes black. Problem is i have to hard reset it there is no other solution....anyone has heard of this issue?

another problem im having (idk if its really a problem) i have the voltage set at 1.2 ...while gaming it goes up to 1.443 according to GPU-z this is on the VDDC tab ? is this normal? i believe is a spike as i think that voltage would kill the video card Fast!

just made a thread about this.... im getting tired of this

read the gpuz might be a bug

the other one i have no idea

Im not sure about that card in particular but try default voltage because if you overvolt your card it might be shutting down to prevent heat or thermal issues by design. i know the geforce 600 series has this kind of tech in place. Also Did you try setting all standby and power saving features off in the bios just to see if it still does it. Then on top of that you also need to change the power settings under windows to performance just to be sure. Now if it still does it, you actually might have a faulty card, which might explain your dvi issue and the sound also not working. To my knowledge what are you using to check voltages on gpu, they really should not change at all or that much, I've looked at mine on my gtx 670 I know they are not same design but my voltage stay at about the same voltage. This all might be a bug though like you said, I do use gpu-z latest and mine does not show wrong voltage, so i'm not sure if there is a bug reading radeon cards.

what catalyst version are you running?, and you need to put your LLC to high or extreme if you are going to do that...its probably fluctuating too much when your CPU ramps up

I think your card is fault but the non-existent audio on HDMI-DVI could be because you NEED to try every Digital Output.
My HTPC had a auto-update and sound wasn't coming out from HDMI even if it was displayed on the sound because i have no idea why is there 4 Digital sources so i played Audio-Roulette and found the right one biggrin.gif

ok as i was typing replies it did it again (has done it 2 times in the past 30 minutes since i woke up) just switched bios

Jedson cant be heat since it does it on windows when im browsing under no load ...when im gaming this dosnt happen

The DVI issue i get the display port to HDMI tomorrow so that will be my workaround

Flash im on 13.3 ...... this wasnt a issue with my Geforce at all

Dave im just gonna do the workaround....im honestly getting a tad tired of this

Well I have to tell you that that is a common indicator that your card could be bad, I would do a search and that and you will see that most times that indicates a faulty card, but yes it can be a fluke which could be driver related, if it happens frequently then I would say you have a faulty card.
