new build caught up on snag

Thread Starter
hello. was hoping i could post final build but caught on a small snag. the top heatsink on the MB touches the fans when attached to the H100i. i was told having the cooler on top mount on the corsair 300r either hit or miss depending on the board. looks like i will be grinding part of the fans off to accommodate the clearance for that MB heatsink.

yellow part represents where the fans bump into:

red part represents how much of the fan i need to grind off:

hopefully tommorrow afternoon after i get off work i can do this and hopefully it will work. fingers crossed.

You can always mount them on the outside of the case instead, if you are worried about airflow, you can just make a cut out (which shouldn't be an issue if you are planning on grinding down things anyway).
