I have six usb sticks all with different os on each one. lol Best thing since sliced bread lol

don't get the AX1200i with the stupid software, you can read about it on corsair forums.
I myself have the AX1200 and it's been a very good psu, been running great for 2.5 years now.

Surprised no one asked yet, but what resolution do you/will you be running? Also, will the computer only be for gaming or do you do video encoding or something along those lines?

Instead of him spending a ridiculous amount of money on this ridiculous new rig, why doesn't he post his current rig specs and we help him update it from there.

You don't need a 3930k for gaming... rolleyes.gif

This rig is a gigantic waste of money for someone who already owns a 2600k and is simply looking for better gaming performance.

No one has told me to do anything that I don't want to do.

I want to build my own dream rig from the ground up not try to piece together stuff into my current setup. Plus I'd like to give my current pc to my dad who is using some 6 or 7 year old Dell setup running XP.

I've heavily modified many a car in my time, did the car work fine as a car from the factory? Yeah, but it sure was a heck of a lot of fun putting the best stuff I could find on it. Every computer I buy is always "ok" for its time and now that I have the means I feel like building something that is overpowered for its time and will be for at least a few weeks... Plus I need a new hobby and this could be it.

Right now I run a 2 monitors in 1920x1200 in the near future I'll probably upgrade to some 2560 x 1440 setups. I'm also looking into doing triple screen if I can find some good monitors with tiny bezels.

I'll only be using it for gaming. The main reason for the 3930 is that Flight Simulator X, even though its older than hell it can bring almost any computer to its knees and is extremely cpu intensive.

You sir do not know the true meaning of OCN. Wasting money and getting way too much power is part of the hobby. Also, that extra power can go into FOLDING!

A couple other things I've been thinking about. What's the general consensus when it comes to fans? I know the 900D comes with 3 120's and 1 140 fan and I would like to upgrade the fans for obvious cooling reasons but also for aesthetics. Because I enjoy brand whoring I'd probably just upgrade with matching Corsair fans on both the case and with the radiator dumb idea or not? I would prefer a quieter setup so not exactly sure when ones to purchase. I would love to just put Noctua fans everywhere but god damn I can't get over those colors...

Also doing a push pull setup on the 110, worth it or not?[/quote]

Yeah that's actually what I currently have saved in my New Egg wishlist. 0.o It looks a helluva lot nicer (I'd have to change my color scheme plans but no biggie) and I like the increased max ram speeds it offers among other things. The Rampage doesn't use the mouse driven Bios does it? (should I even be fretting about that?)

Rampage IV Extreme UEFI Guide for Overclocking

Best guide ever for the RIVE and RIVF, read everything, take an hour and read everything

Keep the Corsair 1050 for next Titan

For the cooler. Please get the Swiftech H220 It will outperforms all other close loop coolers.

And you can also add some custom radiators in it for even better cooling.

But the custom cooling project is for when?

i add on that fact is this cooler can be used for cusom water cooling the pump is made for That plz Solo Two check this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZgctchIQ7M

the Rampage IV does have the mouse there, it is Called UEFI no longer bios coz it is user interface etc... u can check on youtube or screenshots of the bios of rampage

about the Fans who ever say noctua over Corsair he is being fan boy
i suggest u go with Corsair Air flow quite fans for noise and on the radiator get the Corsair high performance Sp fans
to check what am saying regarding Corsair fans better then noctua check this

Watched that same exact video last night about the 220 it is what I'll be getting, hopefully some places will start getting new stock soon.

I'm still trying to figure out my psu setup. First I was going to get the HX1050 but then I remembered they aren't fully modular. Reason that is an issue is I'd like to get the Corsair braided cable kit. So then I found the AX1200, which for whatever reason isn't available on there site.

So while the regular kits cost 80 bucks PLUS the atx cable, the cable kit just for the AX1200 is only 40 bucks. Am I missing something here?

http://www.corsair.com/us/power-supply-units/psu-accessories-1/professional-series-gold-ax1200-individually-sleeved-modular-cables-red.html

http://www.corsair.com/us/power-supply-units/psu-accessories-1/professional-individually-sleeved-dc-cable-kit-type-3-generation-2-metallic-graphite.html

I know about the generation 2 cables but it is kinda weird how cheap the cables are for the gold AX.
