If that keeps working for you, I'd take that money you would have spent on another monitor, and get yourself a UPS. They usually give much better power then surge strips, with the added bonus of protecting your PC from sudden power loss.

This is why i never trust korean models to much you have to go threw even tho they cheaper but im good. I can never go back to 24" 1080p - ive played around with the idea of 144hz w/ lightboost, but the color shift/resolution/size is too much of a trade off. Plus the anti-glare on some of these brand monitors are just ridiculous.

That and i already had a Radeon so lightboost wasnt possible (at the time). Owned both a CrossOver LED-P 60hz and my current Tempest OC @ 120hz, maybe if i find a cheap 144hz ill give it a shot.

I guess it depends on what your definition of cheap is...the Asus VG248QE is on sale at Newegg for $240.
