7600 GT cooling?

Thread Starter
Just ordered a 7600 for my new 65 nm build, and I'm wondering what kind of cooling would be adequate for a decent OC on this card? I'd be willing to spend any where up to about 80 bucks!

VF-900 will be adequate for everything up to a 1.5 VMOD. If your not vmodding the a VF-900 is overkill, however, for under $40 you cant go wrong.

I have the VF700 mounted on a 7600GT. The only let-down of that particular design is the brace. it is horizontal and only has 2 anchor points. This caused a slight bow in the card when the HSF was fully seated. It did not cause a problem, and I still have the card, but it is irksome.

As Tubnotub1 stated: The VF900 is golden. The support is on all 4 corners, so no warping of the card on my 7900GT... great cooler, and it is a heatpipe cooler. The VF700 is fin-only.

That's like speaking french to me. I know like nothing about GPU heatsinks, I didn't even knew they existed until a few days ago >_>. I just want something easy to mount on, or plug in, or whatever the hell it does, and it cools my GPU!

That GPU I linked, go buy it now, along with some AS5. You will see a massive drop in temps.

This little number here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835100007

It is a thermal interface, it helps transfer the heat that the chip creates to the Heatsink on top of it.
