Hmmm Corsair Vengeance memory seems to be the default recommendation. Yes I am considering the kit... but how about something like this? Its around $20 cheaper than the Corsair Vengeance... but is clearance enough for a CM Hyper 212 EVO?

According to Cooler Master's specs, there's 37mm of clearance. The height of the Viper 3 is 41-42mm according to this review I found.

Glad to be of service.

Ended up getting the Patriot Viper 3 and Xigmatek Gaia SD1283.

Had a look at a few pictures, the Gaia shouldn't block the RAM slots, even in push-pull. It will be really close. At worst case, my 1st RAM slot will be blocked... but no problem. I am sticking with 2x4GB and will populate the slots starting from the furthest away.

+1 for the Samsung "Wonder RAM".

Low profile, low power draw, and overclocks like nobody's business.

Aye. Anything with a heat spreader that sits above the level of the silicone is hardly what I would call low profile.

Hopefully it works for him.

I know they are not low profile. Changed my mind smile.gif Nearly $20 cheaper than slower 1600Mhz Corsair, fits just fine as the link shows. First RAM slot will be a really tight squeeze, but I'm sticking to 2x4GB.
