If you pick a mouse with a Avago 9500.. you can really just focus on the shape and the features you need.
Yeah, Xai/Sensei is a great mouse for claw grip if you don't mind the slight acceleration. So maybe that's exactly what OP is looking for since he himself said he uses claw and is used to the sensor

Some info on this matter is here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1364062/the-new-krait-2013-is-a-piece-of-junk

The thread is about be Krait, but they share the same sensor and someone in the thread mentions that the DA 2013 has it as well. Seeing Skylit confirm the issue makes it a valid point for me.

I would like to say look at the corsaire lineup, they have much improved and the software has been updated to much more user friendly and provide better features. I too have g500, still working. I like that mouse but have since thought logitech and its software have gotten worse with time, and continues to get worse, The new game panel software is better than what it has been, but still sucks. This question will arise all kinds of different opinions though, and you will have to research all of them to find what you like and works for you. SOme of the best I know of are steelseries, corsaire, and razer are all top contenders now when it comes to peripherals.

Well I'll be damned, that's gonna make me reconsider buying the mouse altogether. Odd it's not been discussed much at all. Thanks for pointing this out!

E: What the hell is the problem with Razer not being able to put decent sensors in their mice anymore?

That's what i was thinking..

However.. it's like impossible to predict which shape someone is going to like.. other than that it's just features, build quality, button, coating..
Pretty much personal preference.

Out of those Avago mice the Sensei is like a good bet.

EDIT: Regarding the inpuit lag.. my Deathadder doesn't have it.. and you might have forgotten one point.. Synapse.
It might be an issue with the firmware of the Krait 2013.

My Deathadder is flawless.. i am pretty sure i would notice any input lag.. i am really sensitive regarding that.

What about the SteelSeries Sensei MLG Edtion?

Doesit suffer the same aesthetic wear and tear as the usual Sensei?

I don't own any of the new Razer mice, only the DAs before that, so I can't tell. But if there's one persons opinion I trust it's Skylit, and he's confirming it. This does not necessarily mean that everybody feels it, as many aspects might influence the perceived feeling, such as synapse for example. Some people feel that direct input is giving them input lag, and while I am sensitive to this as well I was never affected by it.

I am unsure as i haven't tried it myself.. checking reviews it uses the same surface with a darker color.. so i assume yes.

Maybe.
However.. i've checked through these forums.. i didn't see Skylit complaining about it, but i am sure i've missed it.

But ye as i said.. i don't feel any input lag on mine.
I have the feeling it's more Synapse related as the input lag on the Krait is different.. it should be the same if it's sensor related, shouldn't it?
..and due to the fact the spinning issues got fixed after one Synapse update that's some good hint.

Considering I don't move my palm around much and all of my movement is done with my wrist, I don't see myself experiencing that issue.
