Except the Tom's Hardware preview doesn't differ much from what the IPC improvement speculation have been, 7-13% in most legacy apps is just fine(and not much different from the 5-15% Anandtech have been speculating).

that will fix it starting in July. Plus Haswell introduces new Sleep Sate S0iX
which will make S3 oboslete. If S0iX is the default sleep state, whatever issue S3 sleep may have won't affect most consumers and will be nothing more than a nuisance.Edited by sherlock - 4/7/13 at 2:44pm
