Seriously.
The "training" room of TIE Fighter had 3x more content than a modern AAA game.

I hope the end of the development studio means anyone who wants to can approach Disney with a proposal to create a graphically updated version of the classic space flight sims.

Why not just sell the studio and.let those people keep on working on whatever project they were working on?

Somehow I fear that we're going to be seeing a lot of this kind of stuff coming from disney. I almost feel like they're trying to slowly kill the star wars brand by muddling it down for kids, and killing off any sort of products that we'd like (like awesome games)

Episodes 4, 5 and 6 will never be replaceable to me. Even 1, 2 and 3 couldn't compare to it (even though they had their moments)

Look at what Star Wars is right now. The face of it is the cartoons that on TV these days...and one of them is a Lego cartoon. I think Star Wars has been turned into a theme meant for a child under 12 for quite some time. Really I don't think I'd have any trouble with an eight year old watching the movies either...even the old ones. Maybe it has always been something meant for children.

Heh, or perhaps my views on what is acceptable for children to watch has changed. Though I still don't let my kids what about 80% of the cartoons on TV...especially girl ones for my daughter...Brats, Twinks, Little Pet Shop...yuck...I'll take senseless violence over teaching your five year old daughter to be a fashion whore any day.

Remember this guys? Why can't we have ANOTHER Jedi Knight game? This proves you that the community is still MUCH alive in jk2files.

I don't see why DISNEY can't know about this and especially how strong the PC community is!

GIVE US ANOTHER JEDI KNIGHT GAME!

But no you had to LISTEN to Mickey Mouse!rolleyes.gif

Reminded me of the Mickey Mouse from SouthPark

Can't believe that they would do something like this. Maybe after the movie comes out, that could give them a reason.

I know eveyone wants to see a Battlefront 3 game, but they weren't working on one, right? Also, 1313 looked cool, but it might have sucked also. Given the track record, it was probably going too.

Just bringing up a different view.

Years ago, there were quite a few amazing star wars games. Lately it's been pretty dull.

SWG, tie fighter, xwing, xwing vs tie fighter, rebel assault 1 and 2, jedi knight dark forces, dark forces 2, force commander, xwing alliance, rogue squadron, shadows of the empire. Just some awesome games that were released in the past.

I miss that great big sandbox mmo formally known as SWG.

SWG pre CU, was some of the most fun I've ever had in a video game period. All the classes, the design, loved everything about it. Played on Radiant for years had tons of fun. Loved the hell out of that game. Then they had a "great" idea to wowatize it and make it more "starwarzy" and forced all the movie characters down your throat, dropped it from 32 professions to like 6 i think it was.. and then gave us that horrible new combat system. It's sad what happened to one of the best games ever..

I'm surprised how maturely most of the internet has taken this. It's been something like this:

WHAT?? LUCASARTS? YOU FOOLS! They were the ones who made Grim Fandango a long time ago! And....Star Wars Kinect...?...and...did they make the LEGO Star Wars games? No...um.......yeah, you know what, I don't think I'm bothered.

Which is why I have hulu and netflix so my daughter can watch cartoon shows I grew up with back in the 90's. Sensless violence and all.
I can't stand what cartoon shows are now. They're terrible! Hell, 90% of TV shows on now are absolute and utter garbage.

Heh, same here now. I've been TV provider free for...eight days. I was worried it wasn't going to work using free hulu and Netflix Streaming, but my family is liking it thus far

You have to have Hulu Plus for all the kid shows on Hulu though...but Netflix has all kinds of them and it isn't like my kids are concerned they are all older. Even the "New" cartoon shows seem to have like three episode and they just replay them over and over. The best part is that there isn't any commercials for junk toys for them to whine about how bad they want it...though I know if I got it for them they wouldn't play with it...for more than five minutes anyway.

My wife is even OK with the hulu commercials since most of the time on the DVR she would forget to fast-forward anyway and the commercial breaks are shorter than regular TV. Seriously Hulu...I'd pay double for Hulu Plus if there was no commercials. The only low point has been that some of her shows are a couple weeks delayed, but once she goes though to getting the first episode that she hasn't seen than she will be fine.

As for me...I am still looking for a place to watch Doctor Who online...legally...though it would be far better to get the season disk after it is all done so I don't have to wait through any to be continued endings. The season is only like six weeks long anyway. I've been watching any sports in my house on a computer monitor for quite some time already...even when I had TV. So no change there. I am not much of a TV watcher...more into Movies that I've been getting from Netflix mail service.
