Computer freezes with a buzzing sound coming from speakers.

Thread Starter
Hello, I recently started having a problem where my computer freezes and there is just a buzzing sound which sounds like what was playing right before it froze is getting repeated. It happens when I am playing games like League of Legends, listening to music, or watching videos. There is no blue screen either and the only way to stop this is to force a restart. Anyone have any idea what the problem may be?
My Computer specs are the ones in my rig in rigbuilder called "Gamer." I am not overclocked at all and I am using Windows 7.

Thanks for the help thumb.gif

I had pretty much the same problem with an LGA775 build about a year ago, and the motherboard turned out to be faulty. I researched about it a lot on the internet and in most cases it was the RAM so I tried different RAMs but the problem still persisted.

So yeah check your rams first with one stick at a time, use memtest86+.

Jesus, I know this problem way too well. I too had it start on me with a LGA 775 Board and sometimes had it on my Sandy. As stated above run a full Ram Test over night and check to see if your HDD is okay by running HD Tune. Also this happens when Under load correct? How Fresh is the OS?
