Asus Rampage IV Gene LGA 2011 M-ATX: She will never have more than two GPUs so this would be cost effective way of saving $80 vs. the full size ATX.

MSI X79A-GD45 Plus LGA 2011

This board looks nice, reviews seem to be good, just heard the Asus BIOS is laid out nicely, so I leaned towards it.

GIGABYTE GA-X79-UP4 LGA 2011 I

Good value board from what I hear and I really liked my buddies Z77 UD5-TH.

Thoughts on these or anything else I should know?

Right now I ve only purchased a HAF-XB as her case. Still researching proper RAM, but I know the board is dependent of that; I d like to stay between 2133-2400. Processor is going to be a 3820 or 3930K. Leaning towards the 3820 as it will be just fine for our needs right now and see what comes out later or if a good deal pops up.

Rampage is a kick ass board. No reason to go full ATX if you don't fill all the slots, anyway.
I would recommend it.

Kinda what I figured. Might keep the 3930K in the budget smile.gif
