For anyone who still thinks there will EVER be a full size Optimus keyboard I've got some oceanfront property in Nebraska for sale cheap.
I agree; and I also agree with many people that this keyboard is not worth $1200 bucks, but I might just pay $120 for it. It's only worth a tenth of its price.

Although I drooled over my screen when I saw this nearly 9 months ago when it was in the prototype stage. I'd say they are initially aiming these at large CAD companies. I know from experience that the likes of eCAD, AutoCAD, gerber omega, 3ds max, C4D and even the odd bit of photoshop can get confusing trying to remember all the keyboard shortcuts... I mean when I want to zoom in on something why should I have to remember to press ctrl-tab-del-q... etc

This keyboard will revolutionise the efficiency of the keyboard for this purpose as you will be able to display the icon linked to a specific key on the key itself, and when you press a button like ctrl all the new sets of icons available will display, the mouse might as well be removed from use if a CAD tech had one of these, and you can be guaranteed the big CAD companies (Car manufacturers, game designers...etc) will gobble these up no matter the price. I don't think we'll be seeing as many of them priced for the general public within the next few years or so, I think these are, like the Quadro FX, are aimed at industry rather than personal use.
I agree that it may be useful for them, but it still doesn't solve the problem of the keyboard shortcuts being long and/or complicated. It's just a keyboard, and it might make life a little bit easier, but it's better at looking good than doing good.
