Question about 1440p

Thread Starter
After reading through the forums for a few weeks I've opted to go with a 27" IPS for 1440 gaming but my big question is would the 660ti I'm planning on getting be enough. Now I don't play a lot of very demanding titles League, Minecraft, CS:GO, TF2 and Dungeon Defenders are what I play the most.

Agreed, get something a little better so that you can play next-gen console games without any regrets. unless you like to upgrade regularly, in which case I think the 660ti will be fine for the games that you mentioned

If you want to max out all your games with eveything on then you need 2 cards not even a 2 GB or 4 GB GTX 680 can max out some of the newer games in 1440P

Or the 7950/7970 for that matter in Sleeping Dogs/Hitman Absolution/Sniper Elite V2 in 1440P

My plan was to use a 660ti and grab the 880 when those roll out.

Again I don't play any of those the only new games I've even looked at picking up are skyrim and the up coming elder scrolls mmo. This does bring up a new question though, are the Korean monitors able to get 75hz with a D-DVI cable? Not really a big deal but I don't think I've seen that mentioned on here.

my crossover cant get over 60hz so i would guess not. and getting a 7950 is in your budget. if you wanna grab something that will hold you over untill a new gpu arrives, you should get something way cheaper.
