BSOD SI3132.sys Please Help!!!

Thread Starter
Long time reader first time poster. I can not figure this out for the life of me. I just recently did a complete system reinstall and cleaning of my PC board and case. Since reinstalling windows I have encountered a BSOD from DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 6 times now. The only thing new is I am using a SATA HD but the drive itself is funcitnoing just fine. Any ideas?!?!

The following is one of the Windbg readouts from .dmp file. It has faulted from an idle process 4 of the 6 times and the other two was a microsoft installer and firefox.

I updated chipset drivers ASAP after installing windows. Excuse my ignorance but what is a silicon image card. I am assuming its a controller card for my sata drives but I'm not using one. Thank you in advance for the info. I have a lot to learn here

yea the si3132 is your sata chipset . its either onboard or you have a pci sata card.. either way thats the cuase of your problems.. if updated the drivers right out of the game.. then i would uninstall them and reinstall the old ones and see if that helps
