Has anyone removed the heat spreader from this ram??

G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 64GB (8 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400

If so can you tell me how you did it??

Water cooling ram is not needed and a waste. By doing this you are just adding restriction to your loop

It may look cool if you do it well but ram doesn't get hot until like 1.7-.9 volts.

I see what you did there. But yes essentially it is a waste unless you are OCD and its the last thing left to watercool biggrin.gif

RAM does not require water cooling unless, like Theifofspades said, your pushing heavy voltage through the DIMMS

I'm sure the fellows posting understood what he wanted to do.
Not being able to guide him in the right direction they still decided to give him information he may| may not know.
While many people want and can do many things, sometimes they are truly useless so I'm sure the users above were trying to help him out, not tell him what to do or not to do

that guide looks swell, best of luck on your ram seross:thumb:
