I'm not sure that the 3770K would do all that much for you either, but its hyper-threading could help with video conversions.

If you D/L a ton of HD movies and are down-converting them to SD in order to burn them on DVD, then the most consistently useful upgrade you could make is that BD burner.

I think the main reason I want another 8GB of RAM is just to fill all four RAM slots on my motherboard, I know its total overkill. Seems silly, huh?

Perhaps, but there's far worse things you could do with $60. At the very least it's a durable good with some resale value.
