Windows Error Recovery Help

Thread Starter
Hello All, for some reason I had a problem with my new comp that was built about 6 months ago. I transferred some music files from my old comp to the new one and later on when I turned on my comp I get this Windows Error Recover error. Now I have tried using the WER from my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and I get an error stating: This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of windows you are trying to repair. Try using a recovery disc that is compatible with this version of windows.

So what do I do now that I can't even boot into my windows without having to reinstall the whole thing? Now what could be causing this loop thing no matter if I choose either option to repair or start Windows normally. Thanks

if you have another computer, plug the drive into it and do a check disk repair.
