I would get the HIS model you're referencing, but it's too expensive for me.

Has anyone successfully flashed another bios on these cards? I tried the sapper bios from Sonda5 (Sapphire 950 OC) but it crashes in 3d apps. I've also tried a reference 7970 without success.

I'd love to try a bios that support our memory Hynix per Sonda5 without boost.

I didn't buy one of THESE particular model 7950s, but I did flash the bios on my Sapphire Dual-x 7950 with another Sapphire bios, so my card runs at 925 by default now instead of 800 (or 850, forget which). No issues. That might not apply here though, since my serial number is different.

Hey guys, I am happy to report I've gotten a stable OC with respectable (to me) heaven 4.0 scores. From what I've seen, I'm slightly out performing a stock GTX 680.

before -> after

thank you to everyone in this thread, you guys have helped a newb out tremendously.

settings:

1200 core
1600 mem
1.212v

That's the setting in Trixx. is the reading in gpu-z supposed to indicate 1.212 volts most of the time? I see mine fluctuate dipping to 11.8x some time and usually not over 12.06 according to gpu-z.

Are there any reference 7970 water blocks with a clear acrylic cover without circles available? My google-fu is failing me.
