No joke.... rolleyes.gif

And we wonder why these companies are hesitant to issue rebates and give out sales some seasons!

So no one's been able to flash this card yet? I just read a review on Newegg where someone claims to have flashed to a pre-boost bios, I've not been able to find one that works. After 63 pages someone's had to have figured this out?

http://www.swiftech.com/KOMODO-HD7900.aspx#tab3

the 21196-00-20G uses a reference HD 7970 PCB and is compatible with EK-FC 7970 full cover waterblocks. so you should not have problems with Swiftech Komod0 7900 full cover waterblock

http://www.overclock.net/t/1281711/hd7950-revised-with-reference-hd7970-pcb-club

the power circuitry on this card is weaker than other HD 7970 PCB based HD 7950 cards like HIS HD 7950 Iceq x2 boost . so for the best HD 7950 card with ref HD 7970 PCB go with HIS HD 7950 iceq x2 boost.

FInally found a compatible bios that successfully flashes our cards and a good one.

The Gigabyte GV-R795WF3-3GD Boost Edition seems to be a custom version of the ref design

It has a base of 900 Core and 1000 Boost, it also has a higher powertune limit (not the CCC slider) of 165-235. This let's me run without having to touch the powertune limit in CCC @ stock.

Another bonus it has a more agressive fan profile to keep the card cooler, so you dont have to tweak the fan profile with CCC, afterburner...

http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/127083/gigabyte-hd7950-3072-120907.html

I found on the TechPowerup VGA bios database the files that ended with 015.024.000.001.001496 maybe compatible. I tried the MSI one and it worked on one card but not my 2nd card, maybe a fluke, but since the Gigabyte one had a higher core and powertune limit it didnt matter anyways.

Tested running x-fire and all is good, lower temps and can run without moving the powertune @ stock.

Enjoy and let me know if anyone finds other bios files that will work with our cards.

Would this be a good card to xfire with my saphire 7950? or do they have to be the same card? Thank you.

what's the maximum number of monitors the SAPPHIRE 100352-4L can handle? i thought it should be able to do 4 monitors? only 3 show up.
and also is there a trick to setting up crossfire? do i need to play with the switches by the thing up there?
