Alright, I finally fixed it... the problem was...>>>>> I USED A CRACKED VERSION OF WINDOWS frown.gif
I'm sorry if I wasn't completely honest with you guys but I use cracked versions first before the genuine one just to try the system out first.
What I did was I totally raped the F5 button as it was "Loading the OS". Then it showed a red screen with somethings about SLIC and I choose the option WITHOUT SLIC and BAM! I got into windows and it detected SLI smile.gif))))
Sure hope my brother comes home with that new windows 7 copy of his, the genuine one ofc biggrin.gif
Anyway, THANK YOU ALL FOR THOSE WHO HELPED THIS GIRL IN TIME OF NEED biggrin.gif
OH AND THANKS TO MY BIG BRO FOR LETTING ME BORROW THIS OCN ACCOUNT OF HIS biggrin.gif
REPS FOR ALL thumb.gif

You really need to buy another PSU, for testing and if it works, you can either keep it or return it, but at least you will know and can rule things out.

Yeah never use a cracked copy of windows, and that isn't because of a legal thing, you will never get the right crap. Most are filled with bloat and sometimes viruses, never a good idea to really crack anything IMO. same idea for games for me, why crack something to add to the problems of something I love to begin with. I hate DRM and cracking games only adds to that problem.

There's a 8-pin EATX EPS 12V connector right next to the VGA connector on the motherboard. It MUST be plugged in to run more than 1 PCIe board. I've included an image for visual reference. It's even labeled on-board as ATX_12V_2X4.

Greg

[Edit: I see you fixed your problem, WOOT. You still need to verify you have that 8-pin plugged in though, without it you might overload the 24-pin ATX connector, and blow up the MB!]

Hey just for reference correct me if i'm wrong please but i thought that was an 8 pin connector for your CPU, and is always even labeled that, so my understanding is that 8 pin connector is power for the CPU, but your saying its for more than one pcb or more than one video card, i say this because you plug in all your cards now a days into pci-e slots.

Stop giving out bad advice about cracked software please. I know many many many people, myself included that have zero problems. Usually they are lightweight and fully updated with service packs already installed. And if you know what your doing viruses are a non issue. The only thing wrong with cracked/pirated software is the legality of it. But most people who do that are aware of the laws they are bypassing.

I wouldnt worry about that.

Most computers wont even post without the CPU power(EPS 12V) plugged in.

Talking about a cracked(meaning probably pirated) copy of windows is still against the TOS if memory serves.
So lets drop the issue.

Is that condoned to crack software on this forum, I wasn't aware that it was my bad. He didn't seem like he knew, it actually ended up being his problem was the cracked version of windows. But i'm not the police , so hey you want to steal and break the law go right ahead, I do not condone pirating software IN MY OPINION, hope you saw that portion. If you reread my post it says IMO means in my opinion. Obviously you have yours, so don't attack my opinion as much as you have a right to have yours.

I wasn't attacking your opinion, just the information in the post was inaccurate. Sorry if it seemed like an attack as I didnt mean it that way but I see alot of similar posts that make false claims pertaining to illegal software. I don't condone nor do I condescend on those who use it. I'm a big open source advocate and believe all software should be free. The end user gets to the short end of the stick these days when it comes to pricing and what you can/can't do with your hard earned money and computer is irritating to me.
