Hello overclockers, I'm really hoping you can help me out here, I ordered this new monitor due to all the good reviews they have, this exact one from this exact seller
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320975953186?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
but since It has arrived I've had no luck getting it to work, it gets power as the green light on the brick shows and a red light on the monitor it's self, but that is it, it's recognised by my nvidia gtx 560 because it shows through my nvidia settings and the control panel on windows. I'm completely lost as what to do next, I can't seem to find any similar problems online and no userguides or trouble-shooting anywhere in English, I would really appreciate any help or suggestions.

Quick question, is the red light supposed to turn blue? I've read this in other forums, and what are the "S and M" buttons for on the front?

Here is my desktop.

Thank you for any assistance smile.gif

Is there no good reason for this? Is it just a faulty monitor or what?

Red light means the monitor is off on the Catleaps, so I'm assuming it's the same for your's. Blue light is when the monitor is on and receiving a signal. Blinking blue light is on and not receiving a signal (standby). Try a different DVI cable and make sure it's plugged into the Dual Link DVI port on your card.

I've got a CrossOver 27Q LED-P, and the indicator LED is definitely off when the monitor is off. Red means it's on but not receiving a signal, blue is on and receiving a signal.

I'm pretty new to these monitors myself, so I can't really speculate on what the problem could be. But I would suggest looking through the CrossOver monitor club thread and asking there if the issue hasn't already been brought up before.

Whoops. Sorry for misleading on the red light being on when monitor is off. This poster is correct. But I still think you should check the cable and connection. That would be step one.

Ok, no luck, Ive tried pretty much everything I can, no lose wires, changed the wire from wall to brick, no change, i don't have another dvi-d wire to try, although it came with this one that looked new so I am assuming it's ok. So there is a problem with the signal from my pc to my new monitor? My GTX 560 is listed as compatible with the monitor on the ebay listing and as I said before it shows in my nvidia control panel, so where could the problem lay?

Can you try your cable on another PC, you have to know if it is working to move on.

My first suggestion would be to have both the Crossover and a second monitor plugged in. Use the nvidia control panel on the second monitor and go to "set up multiple displays", there you should have the two monitors, and then click the check box next to the Crossover entry and apply. Then make it the primary monitor by right-clicking the display in the box below that.

When I first had my two crossovers connected to my 670s with my apple monitor being the third I had to do the process I just detailed to get them up and going, hopefully it's just an easy fix for you as well.

I wish it was that easy, I did just try that again but I had already played around with those settings, the box was automatically ticked. When I plug and unplug the cable from the graphics card the original monitor (1080p tv) flicks black as it recognizes the crossover and adjusts the settings. I'm also able to "use" the monitor, ie, drag windows to and from the sides of this screen to that, even though i cant see anything on the black screen I can still retrieve it by dragging it back, I'm not sure if that means anything or i would be able to do that without it.

Also I dont have another wire to try, or another pc to try this one with, not one with a dvi-d port anyway.

Well I have ordered a new cord... probably a waste of even more money apart from the £300 I've spent on this lump.
Any ideas for troubleshooting I can do in the meantime? I really would love to get this thing working.
