All the excitement about DFI had me forgetting another board which i will be testing over the next few weeks. Asus have released what could possibly be the finest i965 board we will see. Codenamed COMMANDO the board is part of the ROG line of boards which also have crosshair and Strker extreme as members.

I have the board and can say I have not yet tested a board that overclocks DDR2 better than this one, if you want to run 1300+DDR this is the board for you

Voltage options are nothing short of stunning, i will post screen shots in the next 24hrs so sit tight. Tests to come in the nex week or so.

1 pic for your enjoyment, you may see others posted as Asus gave a sneek peek of the board here in taiwan at the 1st OCZ Overclocking summit.

Asus have released what i feel is the ultimate i965 board. Part of the ROG line of boards this has to be the best ram overclocker i have tested to date. 1300+ DDR is quite possible with this board with good memory and 1100+ with 4x1gb flex from OCZ was fully 24hr prime stable.

I have a feeling this may be the ultimate i965...check the link for a pic, as i quoted for RD600 i will be testing over the next few days, if Asus allow benches to be posted you will have more info soon.

Check the link for the pic

This has to be one of the best peripheral slot arrangements I've ever seen, the PCIe slots are very far apart, and I see at least 2 PCI slots being usable when using 2 dual slot coolers, plus the PCIe X1 slot up top which may actually be for Asus' riser card for their onboard audio.

One of them is a better overclocker. I think it's the P965.

Agreed....on my ASUS P5B Dlx I only have 1 PCI slot available for my PVR card with the X1900XTX installed. On that board, it looks like I would have access to 3 PCI slots even with the oversized cooler on the XTX.......

I would wait to see some tests on this board before I made a call on which was a better overclclocker though.....
