LOL what? Hell will freeze over before Titan hits $400, by which point it's performance and architecture will be completely surpassed.
580 SLI will be nothing but a headache which drains power, runs hot, has scaling issues/stuttering and you'll be sitting at a 1.5GB vRAM wall. It's a bad idea now and an even worse idea further down the road.
My best recommendation for you is wait for 780. A single 580 is still vastly better than what the average PC gamer has...patience
You might want to upgrade that CPU+mobo though, you're running a brutal overclock but old architecture is old
Well that's true, when you can get the 680 for $100, the GTX 980 will be out and can geat it 6x over lol So good point, BUT, as you can tell in my Rigs, i don't need Bleeding edge Tech to game happily.
Well 2x GTX 580's will Fold well, and from my research will scale well with newer games. The way i see it is this, if a game is to old for SLI, then One 580 will eat it. If a game, like Crysis 3 needs more then One 580,then the SLI will scale well. I am sure SLIing 580's is better then CF 7950's...right? lol Also it's been proving that even Crysis 2 don't need more then 1.5GB of VRAM at 1920x1080, i looked it up. Now Crysis 3 and onward, maybe, but i think 2 580's will run good. I can Fold like a beast and just sell them for a GTX 780...IF the 780 can beat 580 SLI in every way possible...Gaming and Folding.
I guess it is a Brutal OC on the CPU and GPU. But i think it can go higher lol I think a 4.3Ghz Q9550 E0 would be up there with a 2500K@Stock.
