Will these cables from Bitfenix Alchemy fit in my Corsair AX850 PSU?

Hey guys, I have two question, if these cables here will fit in my PSU:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14053/cab-564/Bitfenix_Alchemy_Multisleeve_24-Pin_ATX_Extension_Cable_-_30cm_-_White_BFA-MSC-24ATX45WK-RP.html?id=qcRSLhZr&mv_pc=545

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14039/cab-550/Bitfenix_Alchemy_Multisleeve_4-Pin_ATX_Extension_Cable_-_45cm_-_White_BFA-MSC-4ATX45WK-RP.html?id=qcRSLhZr&mv_pc=974#blank

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14074/cab-585/Bitfenix_Alchemy_Multisleeve_6-Pin_PCI-E_Extension_Cable_-_45cm_-_White_BFA-MSC-6PEG45WK-RP.html?id=qcRSLhZr&mv_pc=1922

And I need to plug them in the slots where the cables leaves the PSU or they will be like extensors that I have to plug the official PSU cables and them plug the sleeved on those? And if I want to have sleeves leaving the PSU and joining the graphics card, cpu, mobo and etc I will have too buy two cables of each?

Thanks.

They're mainly used as extensions where you plug in the stock PSU connectors onto the Bitfenix ones... I don't think they would work in the sockets of the AX series

Yeah, that's what the guy from FrozenCPU told me, won't fit in Corsair PSU only if used as extensors.

And he told me that products like this one:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/15032/psu-cab-11/Corsair_Professional_Series_AX850AX750AX650_Individually_Sleeved_Modular_Cables_-_Blue_CP-8920011.html?id=qcRSLhZr&mv_pc=3200

Are no longer in production, do you know if even those are used as extensions or go directly in the PSU? So bad no longer in production, I really wanted this kit in the white color sadsmiley.gif

What do you recommend I do to have sleeve cables leaving the PSU direclty plugged into it and going directly plugged in the VGA, CPU, Mobo and etc?

Sorry my english isn't good.

Don't apologize. Your english is fine thumb.gif

Try looking around for other retailers who might have white ones, also try to contact Corsair directly coz it'll be a lot cleaner to have those rather than extensions. Those ones are made for that PSU and will plug directly into the PSU. Not as an extension.

The bitfenix ones may also work, what you do is hide your PSU cables behind the mobo tray, and have the extensions come out to keep it as clean as possible.

Another thing i was thinking of, which i havent done myself... what about sleeving it yourself?

The alchemy cables are just extensions. They tag on to the end of your included PSU cables and are meant to add length/bling up the majority of exposed cabling in the case. Meaning you will have to make space to tuck away a lot of the original cabling, as well as perhaps construct some sort of PSU cover. Dwood makes PSU covers for about 50 bucks. Some cases have the option of purchasing an additional cover/shelf straight from the manufacturer, or you could try your hand at a do it yourself job. Plenty of youtube videos to show you how.

Performance PCs has a bundle deal of the Alchemy extensions and a large selection. If the psu cover/extension route doesn't sound ideal to you why not this? You're lucky in that Corsair offers a lot of sleeved cable kit replacements for their PSU's now. My Seasonic is a pain to sleeve yourself from everything I've read, and the wiring is unique enough so that a Corsair sleeved kit would not be interchangeable. I am planning therefore to go with the Bitfenix extensions.

Yea I tried looking in the Corsair site but their shipping cost here to Brazil is so dawn high, it's 200 dollars the cheapest one and at FrozenCPU it was only 60 dollars, I sent an email to Corsair asking if they can sell me with a cheaper shipping cost, if so I will definitely buy from them the cables. But do they have in other colors? Like white?

Thanks.

Here's a link to their total inventory ,and here is a complete sleeved white kit for the AX850 if I'm reading this correctly. I believe other resellers carry the Corsair cables just as they would the Bitfenix extensions. Perhaps performancepcs, frozencpu, amazon, etc. would have the Corsair sleeved kit available along with a more favorable shipping rate.

Thanks but that kit doesn't fit for AX850, only AX860 and others

I have to put a small plug in here...

As easy and cheaper as it is to buy those kits - you may want to look into doing your own.

It is a great hobby that most in this subsection enjoy greatly. As well as there is plenty of guides.

Moreso the feeling you get when you finish and you know that you did it yourself is awesome. So if you havent look into watching some of my guides and read through the faq and give it a thought. thumb.gif
