Those are likely handled by two different teams of people, so what you're asking makes no sense.

The quote you have is absolutely fair.

This is Sim City folks! You are simulating a city.....

I'm clearly pissing in the wind to try and defend Simcity, but I'd recommend giving it a chance before latching onto what the hivemind is saying. Always online DRM sucks, but the multiplayer is a welcome addition for me. Having a lot of fun playing the game with friends.

I got it for $20 during an overlapping Amazon promotion. $20 is nothing, buy it and play it before hating on the game. It's fine to be against EA and all it stands for, but don't victimize Simcity and then turn around and play BF3 or Crysis. It's worth playing if you're a fan of the series.

It actually makes total sense. The public does'nt know if they're different people working on separate projects/issues. They only see what Maxis releases. I would be more than a little peeved at them for releasing this before another gameplay fix. It just does'nt look good PR-wise. Of coarse, we know this is an advertising deal between EA and Nissan. Glad to see the ad money taking precedence over customer satisfaction. thumb.gif

So EA should just stop paying the content creation team until the team responsible for gameplay/bug fixes is finished? The industry simply doesn't work that way. People love to complain and think they know everything even when they have no idea what's going on.

It's pretty much common knowledge for gamers that large video game developers often have more than one team working on a project at once. If someone doesn't know this, they're probably playing games casually and don't even care enough to get upset about it.

In the end, both things are probably being worked on at the same time. There's likely a team dedicated to developing content and another dedicated to maintaining the game.

Ignorance is never an excuse. tongue.gif

I don't understand, advertising makes me rage. That's why I rarely go out and I also use adblock tongue.gif

I did'nt say EA shouldn't pay their workers. I was trying to speak from the customers point of view. The customers don't care about EA's inner workings, they only care about when the game will be 'fixed' (yes, i know very broad). I don't know about you, but if i was burnt by a company or bought a product that was unsatisfactory in my eyes, any FUTURE products from said company. i'm either totally avoiding or highly critical before purchasing. If EA isn't thinking long-term those content creation people wont even have a job because gamers wont buy anything EA.

The only way to be against EA and send them a message they understand is to simply don't buy their games. You buy their games, you're only encouraging their practices.
