GPU Bottlenecking

Hello
I am getting a 7870, specifically a Tahiti LE version,http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131484&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=6146996&SID=1hlsba6xq6ma7, and I was wondering if with my crappy CPU, a AMD 3820, would the graphics card be bottlenecked?
Thanks

Ok to clarify, I am getting a 7870 graphics card, and the 3820 is my CPU. It sounds like a GPU, but no, it is one of AMD's FM1 socket CPU.

AMD doesn't make a 3820. The only 3820 I know of is Intel's X79 cpu. You must be confused with AMD's 8320.

Ok, another correction, the processor is not still in production. It's like a year old i think. Here's the link.http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AMD-A8-Series%20A8-3820.html

I do not know much about your CPU but I bought a sapphire 7870 XT with a tahiti chip and I was worried about my CPU would bottleneck the GPU.

The only times I've noticed my CPU hindering the performance of the card is in CPU intensive games or times in games where lots of things are going on in the back ground.

for example Arma 3 Alpha is more CPU intensive because of the AI and so many things going on at once aside from it being coded badly.
But most games I dont have any problems.
Arma 3 I would run around 10-20 fps no change if i played on Low or Ultra, multi-player would kill my fps, more people = more things being loaded.
Here are how my other games ran:
Skyrim with DLC,HD res packs+ extra HD mods on ultra played at a constant 30-50 fps but would drop down to 25 when first loading into somewhere but then go back up to normal.
Crysis 3 I played through with everything very high with 60 fps and it would drop into the 30's-40's rarely. on ultra it would go down to 25-35 fps.
Far Cry 3 runs at 30-45 fps on ultra and rare drops down to 25 if there is a lot of AI.
Bioshock Infinite I get a constant 80+ fps with maxed settings sometimes going over 100~120.
Tomb Raider constant 30+ fps with tressfx and maxed settings
Borderlands2 constant 60+ fps Maxed settings
Metro2033 constant 40-60 fps Maxed settings
Batman Arkham City I run at 60-90 fps Maxed settings
The Witcher 2 would run at a constant 35-50 fps with everything but ubersampling. it was about 20-33 with.
Resident Evil 6 90+ fps Maxed settings
Deadspace 3 90-120 fps Maxed settings
Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 70 fps with Maxed settings

Before I bought the card I was expecting to maybe run these games on medium, I was a little kid again when I saw what this card could do.
That being said I can't say for 100% it may be the same for you, this a good card for the price and the deal with 2 games, you get the card for about 140 if you factor in both games are 50 each on steam.

That CPU will not be able to push the 7870 to it's potential. You'll get a substantial CPU bottleneck for sure.
