I'm not quite sure on what I should do. If I didn't see all these DOA's on Newegg I'd probably buy it right now (The 2011 mobo).

How's it a waste?

Are what I intend on purchasing, thank you for the help guys, I've carefully reviewed these things, and decided that for my purposes, these are the best options, considering my budget. I might throw in another 8 gigs of RAM, since I have the budget.

Is there any issue with mixing RAM on a 240 pin mobo? I currently have 2x4gig (8Gigs) sticks that are DDR3-1333, from G.Skill unopened, and I'm wondering if I could purchase any other companies RAM and mix it with them.

I would suggest returning it if you can, and get some 1600 ram, as you'll feel the memory speed being slow. Ivy Bridge processors really like memory speed.

There is NO reason to go 2011 over 1155 if you're budget is just $550 and you have a 660TI. You don't need more than 8 gigs of Ram. As far as I know, you're just using this for gaming right? So first, new 1155 mobo, shouldn't be more than $150, a new CPU, either you go i5 3570k or stretch to a i7, then in save your money for another 660ti in the future. You do NOT need 4 PCI slots and definitely not 32gb of RAM.

i agree but he might use the extra ram in future, it all depends on him , however i did write before that i5 can play all games max and he can save $$ for the gpu witch will effect him more to have sli then 2011

http://www.overclock.net/t/1378936/1000-performance-pc-review/0_20#post_19685895

In the threads first post there are links to tests of different systems at budgets 600$ - 800$ - 1000$ - 1600$

Since you've already got must of what you need i suggest looking at the CPU-Mobo-RAM combi in the 800$ or 1000$ build. Those will boost you a lot in gaming performance (fps) most likely over 50% and ofc give you a over twice at fast and smooth windows experience. The i7's price bump up compared to the additional gaming power (next to nothing) makes it's bad buy, the $/fps are simply to high. Unless you're building a workstation PC you want a ultra gamer in too, els the obvious choice is AMD rolleyes.gif
