I would really encourage you to go for the 660ti over a 660 even though its more like $280. I'm still kicking myself for getting a 560 instead of a 560ti.

I second that. I just picked something within his budget. 660ti would be better.

A 660 ti looks to be out of budget. Honestly, the $250 price point offers the best bang for buck with the 7870 Tahiti LE cards at $250 or less. The Sapphire XT has the best cooling of the 3 typically available. If you'd rather spend $200 or less the 7850 offers strong performance, low power usage, low temps and low acoustics. My favorite card this generation wink.gif

how much money you want to spend for buy a GPU? If it's around $200 - $300, then I vote 7870 XT...the performance is great for the price you pay.

Thanks ' and as far as my buget I would like to stay around $250 but if its worth doing I would have no issues going up to $300. Would my 500w psu work with the 660ti. I've been buying parts one paycheck at a time and was saving gpu for last wanted to get it running first.

If you're willing to go up to 300$ then get the HD Radeon 7950.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202026. 309.99$. Not sure if voltage unlocked, wait for confirmation.
And a cheaper 7950 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161420. 279.99$. Not sure if voltage unlocked either so wait for confirmation.
Comes with free Bioshock and Crysis 3 codes. Yes the 7950 will run on your 500W with no problems but if you're gonna Crossfire then you'll need a bigger PSU. ( EDIT : After reading your second PCIE slot is 2.0 @x4 which I don't think will be worth it when crossfiring ).
If you need it around 250$ and can't go much higher, the HD Radeon 7870 Tahiti LE ( XT ) seems to be the best choice in that range. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131484
I have no idea if its cooling is sufficient or if it's voltage unlocked. All other 7870's Tahiti LE's are out of stock at newegg unless I'm missing something.
What resolution do you game on?

What kind of PSU did you have? and for the card, if you can up to $300, then I vote HD 7950...the 384 bit BUS and 3 GB of VRAM is superior OR if you want NVIDIA, then 660 Ti is a good choice....thumb.gif
