Samsung 840 Pro 128GB Slow R/W speeds (<100 MB/s)

I've had my new ssd for a month now, I originally opted to buy the 256GB version, but I had a spare HDD that I could use for mass-storage, after much avail I went ahead and purchased the 128GB SKU from Amazon. For the last few days performance has gone off a cliff. I was averaging 580 MB/s on SEQ reads; today, I'm averaging 100 MB/S. I have followed numerous tweaking guides and have completed all the necessary tweaks, nonetheless, my SSD was working to full capacity for three weeks whilst using these tweaks, this leads me to believe the drive is at fault. According to Samsung's own software, I've written 300GB in the last month, so SSD wear and tear can be eliminated. The only concern is a hardware fault; I'll open up my case later today and see if there's anything wrong, if not I'll have to send it back to Samsung or to the retailer as it's within 28 days (UK).

Can anyone help me diagnose?

The drive is also in ACHI mode in a SATA 3 slot.

My specs are down below.

I would be willing to bet on the so called tweaks bud, no disrespect.

With a sammy pro all you need is achi mode and good to go.

Try the sammy magician to see what it says about the drive for problem solving first.

Can you give more info about the system parts , drivers and what you do with this system ?

Looks like if it was working in SATA I mode, like there is a 150MB/s cap for the controller.

The magician software suggested a few tweaks that were present in Sean's guide, I doubled check these to make sure.

I rebooted my computer, ACHI mode is selected. Do you know what the "sata aggressive link power management" option is?

I'll reinstall Windows later tonight, re-sit my heatsink and so forth. If that all fails, I'll contact Samsung.

What's strange is the drive was working up-to last week, I'm perplexed.

I'll add my build into my sig.

I'll add it now:

AsRock Z68 Extreme 4 Gen 3
i5 2500k @ 4.4 Ghz
GTX 560ti
G.Skill RipJaws X 8GB

That's the gist of my build.

I'm running the Intel Rapid Storage Driver and DXM04B0Q firmware for the samsung 840 pro.

It's mainly a programming and gaming build, so a lot of compiling and CPU cycles. I play TF2 and BF3, GW2 and Red Orchestra 2 often. So my GPU is stretched while playing at 1080P. I swap between Linux and Windows.

Also, Chrome struggles to load pages, I refresh the page, suddenly the page finishes to load. This is starting to look like a RAM/CPU problem - could this bottleneck the drive? Should I run a memtest?

We have progress:

Is that normal? The write speeds seems a bit off.

How much drive is empty?
Do you have latest bios?
Did you try bench in safe mode, because some programs can do this,so that we dont talk about programs now i suggest benching in safe mode.

How did it resurrect ? Did you change anything or did you just leave it to rest ?

I reset my OC to stock speeds, before restarting I swapped out the SATA3 cable with another into a different SATA3 port.

My write speeds climbed up to 390MB/s throughout the evening. Hopefully that's fixed!

Now my hard disk fails to show up in the BIOS or within Windows, I'll need to double check the power and data connector's before going any further.

Thanks for your help

I can't get my agility drive to get decent speeds, not sure if it is the drive to blame or not. It was free.
