2500k 4.8ghz daily use - Page 7

theres always a solution^^

get nvidia inspector

theres a sli-bit editor in it

Original SLI-Bits "0x03400405": 31 fps, 26 fps

New SLI-Bits "0x42500045": 61 fps, 55 fps

this may work.. theres still a chance that it could scale worse on some systems

Nice chip you got there. Sandys are much more supperior to ivys. Overclock like champs with the need to risk a delid. Only reason I'm upgrading mine is because I can snag a 3770k for under $100. Or else I would rock my sandy for another year or two.

I will definately try this , thanks . smile.gif

Today I tried higher bclk's and I started with 105 and found it stable under intel burn test so I bumped it to 107 with same stability without changing any setting in bios , I also loaded default settings before changing bclk . Can I run bclk 107 daily if it doesn't need any bios adjustment ?

if its not the multiplier limiting you i´d leave the blck as it is.. the gain is almost not noticable..
it makes only sense when your desired ghz exeeds your multiplier and you have to raise the blck to get
an even higher OC.. so if you are not ocing over 5.7ghz i think this wont be necessary (because your maximum multi is 57 afaik)

when you really need an OC it is more on situations when you got severely lower frames and then you need an oc over 20%
to make things good again.. blck maybe only increases your overall fsb a bit but not much in matter of fact because everything
over 104-106 will get hardly stable

yeah , I tried this because i wanted to oc my ram but it doesnt wors , i have 2x2gb kingston hyperx 2333 and i can run them at max 2133 or 2400 but doesn't start anymore . afaik these memories got a overclock record but i have no idea how to oc them . Also , if i buy 2600 or 2800 memories I will be able to run them as default at 2800 ?as i said in my ram freq list 2400 is max .

about ocing bclk , i only wanted to see a bit of mve's potential biggrin.gif and it seems to be good if I got 107 bclk fully stable without any adjustment .

guess 107 might be hard 2 get stable.
what do you need that insane ramspeed for?!

OFFTOPIC: You said to him that enabling C1E ,C3 and C6 states would help his chip's life.In many OC guides i've seen, everybody suggests C1E enabled and C3,C6 disabled for Offset overclocking.Speedstep and turbo,he should definetely enable them. Then why would you guys suggest enabling C3 and C6 states too, when they're probably going to cause some WHEA-errors(atleast in my experience)? I think enabling C1E ,speedstep and turbo would do the trick just perfectly, allowing for his chip to downclock to 1.6ghz on idle and making his chip life wayy longer.Few months ago, when i was running 4.9Ghz @ 1.4V - i had them enabled.Since i game 1-2 hours a day at max, most of the time my chip was at 0.800-900V .Only while gaming - 1.4V That allowed me to do it with a Hyper 212+ biggrin.gif
