Asus Z77-M Pro input lag

Thread Starter
Since I started playing alot CS GO I assembled a new small gaming rig.

Now heres the problem, I get HUUUGE input lag on this mobo its insane, dissabling the USB 3.0 & Audio seem to affect it alot.

Have anyone had any issues with this before??

The floating mouse is so ******* annoying if ur used to play on almost no input lag at all...

And yes I tried the most common stuff, even tried ATI & Nvidia gfx. Dissable HPET etc etc

please do share on how disabling the HPET would help decrease latency, because if i understand it correctly it would lead to more since the cpu would be spending more cycles syncing audio and video.

also the more common workarounds are disabling all power saving features of the CPU. give this a shot:
LatencyMon

it may give you a bit more help and suggest checking other components such as if you are using wifi or other pci cards.

All Power saving stuff I can think about is off in the BIOS.

No wifi stuff or whatever, new chipset drivers, new audio drivers, also formatted.

I ran the program you asked it doesnt look go

so you have speedstep, C1, C3 and C6 disabled in the BIOS?

in windows power management:

those hard page faults i am not sure. there is a bit more info on the LM page:

Yea I have all those settings.

I have almost dissabled and tested every single BIOS setting I can think off. Downloaded new Audio drivers, chipset drivers, lan drivers.

Also tried another VGA card (ATI instead of nvidia GTX670).

Maybi its a PSU problem? Could this cause this kind of probs?

i really think we are going off in the wrong direction - a PSU wouldn't be related.

the cpu is part of it. do you have turbo boost disabled and set the multiplier to ~3.8 or 4 ghz?
look in CPU-Z and see if the clock speed is consistent

I tested CPU-Z and I set the multiplier at 3.4ghz, and it stays at that.

Also tested the SSD (Samsung 840 pro), the speed seems to be correc there to.

But damn I just tried playing CS GO again and its like im playing in slowmotion, moving the mouse has atleast 20ms+ input lag! (using benq XL2420T btw)

I guess PSU and ram cant be the problem?? I have other ram here though to test and psu's also but hmm.

Really kinda annoying can't even play frown.gif

that is really bad lag, i am sorry. i am out of troubleshooting the hardware. you may want to look at the game, esp if other games do not suffer the same problem. have you looked at that?

having v-sync on can cause the problem . .

I just checked IRQ's, probably shouldnt do that anymore since its win7?

But I find it odd that the GFX is sharing with so many devices and audio is at IRQ 22 and the lan driver is like at IRQ20393939 blallaa

Is this normal? redface.gif
