Headset suggestions "The all in one Headset"

Hi Everyone,

I am wanting to buy a headset in which I can use for everything! When i say everything i mean PC gaming, Xbox Audio/Xbox live chat as well as good quality when listening to music. Along with those things i want to be able to wear this headset in public. On my daily commute to work, College etc. I've been looking at the Astro A30's as they have a detachable mic and they look decent. But the price tag is pretty big at £170 (with mixamp) I am currently using a turtlebeach x12 which is plugged into a DSS sound processor. This brings me onto my other question - If i bought just the astro a30 headset without the amp could I use the headset through the Turtlebeach DSS?

I am up for any suggestions, i just hope i am not looking for the impossible!

Thanks

I wouldn't really recommend what you're doing honestly, because the A30 is pretty lousy headset on all ends when you look at the price.
Plus... when you look how reliability it has (just do a search on google), you'd see how ridiculously easy they break. Not something you want to lug around everywhere you go.

If you absolutely cannot go for a headphone + individual mic combo (which is what most people will recommend here), then a Sennheiser PC350 is probably your best bet.

Any headphones/headsets (provided they aren't USB) work with the TB DSS as it is just an external DSP.
