Which card to get?

I was picking out which card to get next and i have it down to two please dont suggest anything higher priced than these two also i live in the UK and am going to buy the part off amazon. the first graphics card is a nvidia gt 640 1GB GDDR5 the second is a HD 6670 1GB GGDR5. I mostly play LoL and as i understand both of these cards will support me just fine for this, i would enjoy some gaming on a first person shooters like call of duty on about medium quality. i do not video edit or photo edit this is just for personal use and gaming the 6670 is cheaper so i am leaning more towards that one so guys what do you think?? can you please give me a idea of the FPS difference between the two cards.

you are going to get a lot of responses telling you there is something better available for your money, that being said I want to give you the answer you want - which of those 2 is better?

personally, I would go with the 640. I have owned NVidia and AMD cards and both perform just fine with the right drivers... but the 6670 is already a generation old (7xxx is the current series), at least the 640 is current hardware.

without knowing the rest of your system though, it is hard to tell you which one will help you more (or at all)

What is your budget, to the penny on those two choices of cards. I would do what dutch said and stick with current generation so your basically not wasting money. At least you will be current. Also those nvidia cards are roughly 70 - 120 bucks price range. Try and find the card in your exact budget that gives you the most for your money, in this case higher clock speeds or added memory like a 4gb or 2 gb version, maybe OC version IDK there were a bunch to look through. If its not so far fetch out of this world For about 170 which would not be impossible to save for, I think your best option is to get a gtx 650 ti boost, for that price and what you get is is stellar in performance. I know that is a bit out of your range but considering some 640 gt's were about 100 any way that 70 dollars would take you far even if you are just casual gaming from time to time. Maybee a new mobo might come out that is like LOl that you will want to play in the future that is a bit more demanding, the 650 ti boost auto boosts its clocks which is really helpful, it basically auto overclocks for you. If it s absolutly out of these two cards I would do 640.
