Need some Help, Windows 8 Pro questions and ISO

Thread Starter
I am trying to locate a Windows 8 iso to download if there is one, my current laptop has windows 8 on it already and I'm upgrading to an SSD, I heard its best to just reinstall windows cleanly and not copy the contents of my HDD to my SSD.

So I want to go that route but don't have the Windows installation discs. Now I've been wanting to upgrade to the Pro version of Windows 8, so if I was to buy the Windows 8 Pro Upgrade Disc, is it the full installation of windows 8 pro? or do I need to have the Windows 8 installation disc too?

Meaning I must install windows 8 then insert the disc for windows 8 pro upgrade and upgrade from the disc? Ah its all confusing lol I'm even confusing myself_

Can I just pop in the windows 8 pro upgrade disc and install a full version of the windows 8 pro on my new SSD, if so I can just go buy the upgrade disc now and not have to worry about downloading a windows 8 iso.

I don't believe Microsoft makes ISOs of their OSs available. So, any ISO will not be legal as far as MSs EULA is concerned.

With XP/Win7 you could do a full install from an upgrade disk. But the method for doing so can't be discussed here.

Be sure you have all the drivers you will need before you do your upgrade, on CD's or a thumb drive.

If you do your upgrade, you will loose the ability to do a "restore to factory defaults" repair.

Visit this site one Windows 7 or Windows Vista computer if you have a product key: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only

Follow this guide: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/18309-windows-8-upgrade-iso-download-create.html

NOTE: If the Windows computer is 32-bit you can only make a 32-bit ISO and vice versa.
