Best 27'' 1440p monitor for gaming?

Thread Starter
See thread title...looking to get something for $650 like the Asus PB278Q but saw alternatives from Viewsonic for $700-750 that I may be willing to go for if worth the extra money. I'll be using this for gaming...other stuff too but I will be running it alongside a 32'' 1080p LED HDTV for stuff like movies and whatnot.

i'm also in the market for a 1440 monitor and will keep a eye on this thread. Newegg has the dell U2713HM with 10% off, still deciding if I should wait and for the sale again for 550 + free shipping.

what kind of gaming? i just got the asus and it is amazing. i do notice a very small change in response times when playing FPS like BF3, but it is by no means unplayable. other games i have noticed no difference in game play, only much better image and awesome colors.

Catleap 2b Extreme

I personally can't stand IPS panels for gaming, but for everything else that's the one I would pick.
I cringe seeing games played without lightboost hack lol.

Will be playing BF3/BF4, CSGO, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Bioshock Infinite, and other random games. Looking for minimal motion blur/input lag/dead pixels

Have you considered the Korean monitors.

I suggest the CrossOver 27Q Led-P

I bought three and they are perfect.
