Help! OCing for Dummies!

Thread Starter
Hey all, just put together a new build and having trouble overclocking it.

I don't have much experience overclocking further than just changing the multiplier. In my previous build for instance I was successful in OCing my Phenom II 965 from 3.4 to 3.7 very stable with nothing more than upping the multiplier.

In my new build though, I am having issues getting a stable OC at all, using Prime95 to stress test. The build is titled Black Phantom in my sig. Cool N Quiet is Disabled, C1E is Disabled, HPC Mode is Enabled, those are the only changes I have made at the moment after putting everthing back to stock. I have to force the RAM frequency to 1866 as it auto shows up as 1333.

I have to admit that I'm in a bit over my head. I would like to get the processor to 4.8ghz but would be happy with 4.5, can someone give me some advice that is used to the newer ASUS BIOS menus in a way that a beginner will understand?
