Thank for your help.

Would this work for cooling???
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186064

A friend says this is what he is using. But he is not 100% sure he has the same card.

Im not really looking to oc. I just want a 10% gain over what I have now at stock speeds. If i need more power later on ill look in to ocing...
Thanks again.

You would need to cards to get a performance increase, I love my 7950 MSI TF3's. One card is slightly less performance than you have now.

stay away from xfx . the dd coolers are not good. the sapphire hd 7950 boost with dual x cooler or msi hd 7950 twin frozr or his hd 7950 iceq x2 boost are good options.

HIS HD 7950 iceq x2 boost is one of the best designs. ref HD 7970 PCB. more power phases than reference. unlocked voltage. good cooler. card measures 311mm long. so check if it will fit in your case. if you are gaming at 1080p a single HD 7950 is enough. these cards can easily overclock to 1150 - 1200 mhz. HD 7950(1100 Mhz) matches HD 7970 Ghz(1050 mhz). thumb.gif

If you're going with the Accelero cooler for the 7970. Then you want a reference card.

Just be aware that your warranty can be voided if the cooler is changed. Check terms carefully before you purchase.

Well Im kinda leaning to the powercolor. Iv got my 6950s leased threw a company that has been awsome to me. They will be paid of this weak - in all I only have 100 more into the cards then what they went for new. The nice thing is - I get there 2 year warranty that starts after complete pay off and XFXs life time warranty.

Im building my brother a computer for his bday and am wanting to give him my cards but I want something that will out preform my current set up.
If I went with the cool master I would get 2- and pay 59.99 for a year.

Would this cool work??? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131463
It says amd 7900 series.

I know this one will but i dont wanna sink that much cash. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186083

I think i was told a water block.

What would need to liquid cool this card as is?

Guys Im sorry if Im driving yall nuts. I dont know about water cooling - and I dont think my friend does this is why Im asking yall.
THanks
To use that powercoler lcs card you would need a liquid cooled pc(pump, res, tubing, blocks) and you would add the card to your current loop.

From the sounds of it you do not have a loop already.

For a performance upgrade you will need two cards. As long as you don't get XFX cards they should stay reasonably cool.

What case do you have? Can you fill in your sig info?

Thanks for the reply. I dont wanna mess with that right now. I looked at some other cards - what about this one. ASUS GTX690-4GD5 GeForce GTX 690 915MHz 4Gb 512-bit GDDR5 PCI-Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card. its almost 1000s but I can make payments on 2 cards for 100$ a mouth.

I hear one of these will out preform both my 6950s.

Other the a nvidea card what do yall think.
Do yall see in cons?
Of course it will outperform, duh. It's 2 680 cards in there!
2 7970s would do you better. For less money considering you can get one for 400bucks. Or 7950s for 300 bucks each
