Logitech warranty has changed?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, my G400 has started acting up recently, so I sent this to Logitech RMA:

The left click has been acting up. Instead of giving a proper click, it springs back up and gives a weird click sound; unlike the right click, which is behaving normally. The scroll wheel is also broken. When scrolling up, there is a small step in between the two normal notches, which means it always scrolls up twice when I only want it to scroll up once.

I then received this in return:

Thank you for contacting Logitech's Customer Care.

I am very sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with your Optical Gaming Mouse G400 . At the same time, I would like to assure you I will do my best to assist you with your concern.

We would like to arrange to have your faulty product shipped to us by yourself through your local post-office. This shipment is completely free of charge.

I was under the impression that Logitech usually sends you a replacement without you having to send back your old mouse. This is pretty frustrating, seeing as I don't want to be stuck without a mouse for a week or two.

Is there anything that can be done?

Only thing you can do is keep an extra mouse around at all times.

Unless they changed it recently, when my g9x left click stopped working they just sent a new one without asking to return mine like a 2 months ago.

Same here. I had to RMA my old MX518 late last year and they sent me a G400 hassle-free. I spoke to a representative over the phone however.
