Fractal Arc Midi R2 Fan Question

So the Fractal Arc Midi R2 comes with a 140mm front intake, rear exhaust, and top fan installed. Should I flip the top fan to turn it into an intake fan (I think?).

One of the most popular arrangements for fans is to have fans on the bottom and front as intake, and the top and back as exhaust, personally I would leave the top fan as exhaust, but it shouldn't make a giant difference in temps either way.

That's what I am thinking. I have a 120mm fan from my NZXT Source 210 that I could take out and put at the bottom as in intake.

You'll get better temps filling each hole with a fan, other than *maybe* the front top mounting points. Bit-Tech did a great write-up on fan placement and the sweet spot for cost/benefit was using 5 fans in a positive-pressure design.

I highly recommend using the 3 included fans as intake with 2x front and 1x bottom, hooking them up to the included fan controller. I would then install 1x 140mm fan as a rear exhaust and 1x 140mm fan as a top exhaust. I will be selling the 3x Fractal 140mm fans included in my Arc Midi R2, PM me if you're interested and in the lower 48 states. ;-)
