Noise from EK-DCP 4.0

Thread Starter
As the title says, I just finished a new watercooling build and i have bought a EK-DCP 4.0 i have been bleeding the system for 24 hours now and i still think it's very noisy, and here comes my question can you run pumps on fanspeed reducers withbout damaging them? Or is it still air trapped in the loop? I have checked and the pump is not broken.

answer would be very much appreciate:thumb:d

is it a rattling sort of sound? I think I may have the same problem. I did not have it initially then after a few months of use, it just randomly started making this annoying sound.

I found mine noisy too although decoupling helps to some extent it doesn't get rid of the 'buzzy' noise. They're supposed to require about 8v to start up but I ran mine for over a year at 5v. I used a resistor to reduce the voltage as I found that it wouldn't always start up reliably when connected to my (50W per channel) fan controller.

At 5v it had just enough flow for a CPU block, GPU block and rad.

hey Big Elf, how much lph would the pump be at 5v instead of 12v at 800lph?
