Well it is possible that it is a 7950, but my point is that those cards (they are refered to as OEM cards) do not overclock well at all. You might be able to OC it to 1000/1300, but you wouldn't even need to water cool it then because the card wouldn't even get hot. The whole point of that mod is to put it on a nice card that overclocks well because once you get a high overclock THAT is when you need better cooling. With the card you picked I can promise you that you wouldn't get a good overclock. Understand what I'm saying?

DO NOT BUY FROM PIXMANIA!
Most of their orders either get "delayed" or "disappear"

I would recommend just buying a better card than the one that you picked out and some thermal paste to replace what comes on the card already. Some good TIM should drop your temps between 5c-15c depending on what kind you buy. I have an overclock on my TFIII of 1225/1625 and I replaced the TIM and temps don't go above 65c. Also don't forget to ask what fans would fit above the VRM's if you still plan on doing the red mod because like jlhawn mentioned you cannot just stick a water cooler on the GPU because the card would just crash from the VRM's overheating.

Good luck thumb.gif

Thanks i'm thinking about doing it since i'm gonna go SLI later on and it should be the best option for it, otherwise i'd problably get the same card you have smile.gif

You are thinking of buying the card that you picked out? and BTW with AMD it is refered to as "crossfire". SLI is for Nvidia.

Also, I recently purchased Arctic Cooling Twin Turbo II, i've been extremely pleased with it. It's quieter at 2k rpm than the asus stock cooler (single fan) on 40%...
My temps went from 82C, core @ 910Mhz, 0.987V to 62C 945Mhz 1.012V. And it's whisper quiet after adjusting the fan curve smile.gif
I have Asus GTX 560 DC.

You need to do more research before you buy a card. Read reviews, user rating, read the fine print on the warranty, read how the card performs in crossfire. I learned the hardway a couple times and that is why I'm so dead-set on helping you out because I don't want you to make the same mistake that I made. Always choose a name brand. MSI, Gigabyte, Sapphire, HIS, ASUS, hell even Powercolor! Anything except that crap. Unless you are buying that for looks and not for performance PLEASe do yourself a favor and don't screw yourself over.
